Hello, I'm Kristin

I’m an educator, curriculum designer, and career consultant with a passion for supporting people in exploring and reaching their career goals.

Finding good work that aligns with one’s skills, competencies, interests, and values can be tough going. As a career and job search expert, I guide clients through the process of exploring career possibilities and landing work that makes the most of their talent and potential.

With 12+ years of experience in HR, recruitment, and careers fields, I have now successfully helped hundreds of clients, including senior-level leaders, business owners, mid-level professionals, and post-secondary students, find career success.

Currently, I advise and educate Simon Fraser University students on job search in the Science & Environment co-op program. It’s rewarding to be an integral part of supporting students in securing work that aligns with their future aspirations.

Additionally, I deliver and facilitate careers-related, contract training programs for corporations and employment programs on a variety of topics including resume writing, interviewing, job search, social media, and personal branding.

Along with my background in non-profit, business, and HR, I am a Certified Resume Strategist, Certified Career Strategist, and am trained in narrative career counselling.

I’ve been honoured to be invited to speak at organizations such as the Burnaby Board of Trade, University of the Fraser Valley, Women in Male-Dominated Industries, BC Career Development Association, and Ceric (Canada’s leading career research and education organization.)

I am fascinated by all things career-related, especially how the world of work is evolving, best-practice recruitment methods, and organizational behavior/psychology.

I find joy in good coffee, hiking BC’s local mountains, indoor cycling, listening to true crime podcasts, and letting my creativity run free through various art projects.

The process of finding a new job or identifying a new career path can feel isolating. Having a trusted partner on your side during this time can bring clarity and direction. Someone who you can bounce ideas off of, vent to, ask questions, and who will enthusiastically celebrate your success in the end.

Past clients have appreciated my creativity, empathy, and vast knowledge of career and job search. Sessions are often collaborative, engaging, and usually pretty fun, but ultimately provide you with new insights and informative resources that will guide your path forward.
